Training employees in the workplace on new and required technology is important for an effective communication and work process to meet business goals.
When an organization begins to adapt new technology, it is very important for there to be proper training and communication for employees to successfully utilize either a new system or software application. Some helpful tips that can be beneficial to employees and the organization is to have individuals who have been properly trained on the software and can serve as a resource for assistance to others and be sure to let employees know the importance of having training and how it could be beneficial to them. Before a new system or software application is fully launched, a training plan should be followed to ensure that all users are on track meeting deadlines for the launch date and are not caught off guard with surprise training dates and meetings. Offering incentive to employees to use new software such as allowing dress down days or lunch can be a great motivator and selecting the right format for training is critical for the learning process (Bleich, n.d.)
